EVENTS: Some of Our Popular Activities

Individual events are planned as the year proceeds; however, many of our popular "trademarks" are sure to be seen every year. Click on any one of the following links for details on the corresponding event.

raftingWisconsin Wilderness Camping (a.k.a. "the Rafting Trip") - Camping at the Glacier Wilderness Campground in Elton, Wisconsin and white water rafting down the Wolf River through the Menomonee Indian Reservation. A whole packaged weekend of fun, relaxation, food, and adventure, with the option to extending your stay.

Saugatuck Camping - Weekend camping trips in June and September to CAMP-IT CAMPGROUND near Saugatuck, MI. These events have been member-organized & "on-your-own" events in recent years, which are announced in LPL emails and/or the Facebook group when someone plans one. Formal LPL-sponsored group events are always a possibility to return in future years.

bowling pinsBowling- LPL's own bowling league has retired. Many of our members bowl on the Friday and Wednesday gay leagues at Waveland Bowl. Feel free to visit them during the bowling season, offer to fill in, or contact their corresponding leagues for information on registration & dates.

Candlelight Bowl- A "fun-only" night out at the bowling alley. Individuals, Couples, and sometimes whole teams work together to make this a bowling experience like no other. Includes food, beverages, and prizes.

camping picAll Groups Picnic- Every August, LPL takes part in this leisurely afternoon at Busse Woods along with several other Chicagoland GLBT organizations.

Holiday Potluck - Just Prior to Thanksgiving, a joyful gathering and food-fest celebrates the oncoming two months of various holidays. Kick off your winter spirit among friends!
