LPL Supports Our Community
Dating back its early days and continuing throughout its rich history, LPL has always made an effort to give back to our community. To date, tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours have been donated by members and group efforts to help other organizations who make a difference to those in need. Over the years these efforts have arisen in addition to our standard our standard group social activities, and frequently come as a by-product OF those activities. One classic example of this incorporation of support into social interaction is the traditional 50-50 raffle held weekly throughout our bowling season. A substantial sum of money is collected over this nine-month season, which at the end of the season is donated to a cause voted on by the bowling teams who participate. Other events from the LPL calendar are often advertised as "a benefit for...", where proceeds of the event are designated for a particular charity up front.
Lincoln Park Lagooners are proud to have supported the following organizations (just to name a few) over the years and aim to continue this tradition of caring:
- Vital Bridges / Open Hand Chicago
