June 13-15, 2008: "Impromptu" Camping: Members are going for on-your-own camping @ CampIt for the weekend.  Although not a formal LPL event, members are planning to go this weekend and would love to see others join us in the Old Horseshoe.  Contact Campit directly (877-226-7481) to make reservations.  (Food and bev are also on-your-own.)

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH TO ALL!

Chicago is blessed with a huge assortment of Pride Month activities ~ not the least of which is topped off by Halsted Pridefest on the 28th and the Pride Parade on 29th.  We hope to run into each other for these wonderful activities later in the month.

Recent Event News:

Annual Meeting & Election Night - A great time was had by all as we gathered for good food and great company to honor many special people who helped to make the past year possible.  Thanks to Touche' for providing us the space and for the discount drinks!  The new board of directors elected for the upcoming year are: Bert Glidewell, Tripp Kelley, Damian Moshak, Jackie Mrozinski, Tony Myers, Felix Quintiliani, Bill Stalker, John Van Keulen, and Greg Williams.

The Hammond Horseshoe Casino Trip - What a wonderful time!!!  The bus picked us up at Bucks on a beautiful Saturday morning, we enjoyed some various casino activities, and sampled the variety of food offerings before being delivered back to the neighborhood.  Participants are already asking when the next one will be.  (Perhaps this fall or next spring???  -- Fill out that survey with your opinion!)

Bowling Banquet - The LPL League Bowling wrapped up its season with it's typical grand celebration at Jackhammer, celebrating 20+ years in the bowling scene and awarding our teams and hard-working secretary Felix. Thanks to everyone for another memorable season!

Wisconsin Wilderness Camping -
Our signature trip to the northwoods is going to be packed with festivities this year and will be happening this July on the 17th - 20th.  Mark the dates on your calendar and keep an eye on your inbox for more...

We will be sharing some stories and memorable moments as summer progresses.  Also planning ahead, LPL is helping to organize carpools this year to try and double up on those gas dollars, look for details on that as well.
