Tips for a GREEN VACATION.
* Carpool - Share the ride and the cut the expense of high gas prices by riding with a friend.
* Recycle - reuse those 4th of July decorations to decorate your tent before relaxing in the fresh Wisconsin air (and maybe win a prize for your creativity!)
* Slow Down - what better way to put you into a carefree camping mood than by starting in the car. Slowing down to the speed limit or even slower improves gas mileage drastically.
* Concentrate - get more vacation in one effort by taking advantage of the "Add Thursday" option on your camping trip.  Increase your enjoyment, still all in one vacation
* Act Locally - if you drink Wisconsin beer, you cut transportation emissions.  (well???)
* Conserve Water - by showering in pairs (okay, maybe this isn't "green", but someone suggested to add it to the list anyway for good humor.)
* Enjoy Nature - Join LPL for "Back to Nature" - the Annual Wisconsin Wilderness Weekend!
* Reduce Paper - Sign up for email newsletters at LincolnParkLagooners.org ("Go Paperless" link) and register for Wisconsin camping while online.  Early Wisconsin Camping registrants (by July 10th) get a chance to win a free gas card.  (No computer? - call 773-206-2486 to register.)

Email your green camping ideas to us from the website. Prizes given at the campground for creativity.
