Coming up we have a few chances to start THINKING SUMMER, to get outside, and help us plan ahead...

June 13-15, 2008: "Impromptu" Camping:
Members are going for on-your-own camping @ CampIt for the weekend. Although not a formal LPL event, members have again requested this designated weekend and would love to see others - get a spot near the Old Horseshoe. Contact Campit directly (877-226-7481) to make reservations. (Food and bev are also on-your-own.)

The Wisconsin Camping (Rafting Trip) Committee will be meeting this week and would like your input.

Join us! - Eager campers are strongly incouraged to make suggestions either by sending an email, or better yet, we would love to have you on the committee - which meets this Thursday. Send and email to Tony in either case through the Contact Us page. BE A PART OF OUR SIGNATURE EVENT!

Your ideas and suggestions helped to make last year's trip an overwhelming success and we'd love to continue the effort!

Events Calendar, Part 2:

Your next mailing will contain an update to the calendar of events with additions for Summer and Fall of 2009. Email to the Planning & Events committee to share your comments / questions on the following LPL get-togethers that will likely be included...

Ravinia Outing -- show is yet to be decided, but we will be going to a selected show and will have everyone meet in a general area, similar to last summer's show @ hollywood beach. Possible shows: "Indigo Girls", "Music of ABBA", "Beach Boys", and "Lyle Lovett" among others.
Millennium Park concert night -- ditto the Ravinia concept, but downtown, and with the Grant Park Symphony
Another "Bar Party" night out -- You gave overwhelming comments after April's night out at SoFo, asking to do another one, and your response was heard. Look for another to happen in the next month or so, this time to benefit our annual Wisconsin Trip.
The demand for Movie and/or Live Theatre nights are always coming in. We will have one for you on the new update as well.

...and as usual, our standard events are growing nearer.
