Happy New Year!  ~ a letter from the chairman:

Dear LPLer's,

On behalf of the LPL Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for another successful year for the Lincoln Park Lagooners!  Whether you are a long-time member or discovered us this year, it's your participation and enthusiasm that make this organization work!

Like many of us, 2009 was a challenging year for LPL.  However, with hard work and dedication from the board of directors, we were able to provide many of our traditional events with the additional of many new events that were sometimes free or at a modest cost.  I'd like to thank Felix, Jackie, Bruce, Tony, Pauli, Damian, Tripp, and Bill for all of their work.  They have done a great job this year coming up with new events, reaching out to new members, and making sure we hear your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions.  And please keep those suggestions coming!  They truly are a great resource. 

Also, a big Thank You to the many members who take time to help out at our events!  It's reassuring to know that there are so many of you that can be counted on to help if needed.  That extra helping hand by a few people to chip in with a little effort goes a long way toward making each event a success.

Please visit www.LincolnParkLagooners.org for a tentative calendar for 2010 and to offer comments and suggestions.  Again, thank you for your participation in 2009 and consider joining us for some events in 2010, both the new ones and the standard favorites -- and bring a friend!

LPL Group Meet-Up for Ice Skating:
Sunday, January 17 @ Warren Park,
2:30pm: Meet-Up / 3-5pm: Skating

TimeJoin us for some fun, free gathering of winter activity right here in town. BYO Skates, or rentals are available from the park district. Non-Skaters are more than welcome!

• No RSVP or Reservation necessary to join us
• Admission is free, skate rentals are available for a small fee

Warren Park is located at 6601 N. Western Ave. - Plenty of parking is available or you can call CTA for the best connection to get there: 836-7000.
