A Message from the City Council Community Liason

From the Advisory Council on Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Issues

logoLPL would like to pass on a letter to our membership that was received from William Greaves of the Advisory Council. It is regarding a resolution that is pending in the City Council. This resolution would put the City of Chicago on record as OPPOSING the proposed Federal Marriage Amendment (aimed to discriminate against GLBT Americans).

Mr. Greaves encourages everyone to contact your alderman and encourage support of the City Council Resolution Opposing the Federal Marriage Amendment. Contact numbers are included in his letter. If your alderman has already pledged suppord, he encourages you to call him/her to offer your thanks.

Please read the entire letter - we have posted it here on the LPL website for your convenience.

Contact information for your alderman can also be obtained from the following page in the City of Chicago's online site:

Sincerely,
The LPL Board of Directors
