The Lincoln Park Lagooners organization, Board of Directors, Website committee, and Bowling Committee (jointly, "LPL") is committed to protect the privacy of all personal information gathered from our members and our Web site visitors ("Members"). We have created this privacy policy to communicate our practices regarding the collection and use of personal information that can be linked to a specific individual, such as a name, address, phone number, e-mail address, or any other information, provided to us by our members and website visitors.
You are not required to share personally identifiable information to use the public areas of either LPL web site. LPL does not collect personally identifiable information about people without their permission, and we do not share the information collected with any other organization, group, or individuals. Please be aware that our site contains links to a limited number of other websites and LPL cannot control and is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those websites.

We request contact information when you contact LPL online, via mail, through a member in person, or register for an event. We use this information to send you newsletters, registration confirmations, and information about LPL sponsored or supported programs, events and activities.
LPL may also analyze information or surveys gathered via the LPL website to improve our web-based services and future events. Analyses of aggregate user behavior and opinions aid in measuring interest in and use of various areas on our website to improve on our ability to serve you better.
Cookies: LPL may use "cookies" on some Web pages when logging into an online session. A cookie is a very small text file stored on a Member's hard drive but does not itself contain any personal information. Cookies simply enhance a Member's experience by storing session data or provide information each time he or she re-visits a LPL Web page and by customizing content based on a Member's interests. How you receive e-mails and e-mail newsletters from LPL:
You will only receive email newsletters from us if you have (a) expressly signed up for a
newsletter on an LPL website or (b) attended, registered for, or RSVP'd for one of our events
or (c) requested to receive newsletters verbally through a member of the Board of Directors.
The information we gather from subscribers for our email newsletters (including
name and email address) is not shared with other organizations or parties. On rare occasions,
we may send out an email on behalf of a sister organizations that we have ties with, but we do
not provide them with access to any personal information that you have provided.
All emails sent contain instructions to unsubscribe or to modify your profile. You may
subscribe or unsubscribe to any newsletter or e-mail communication from LPL at any time.
